We feel responsibility. We remember treaties to be honored, communities to be heard, ecosystems to be healed. In every vein of that leaf runs the promise of Canada: that here, in this harsh beauty, we are bound together—not by blood or birthright, but by choice, by care, and by the fierce love of home.
